FACE REALITY SKINCARE FOR TEENS
Face Reality treatments consist of a results-driven acne facial tailored to treat and heal all types of acne—safely and effectively. This treatment uses Face Reality’s professional-grade products, backed by clinical research, and customized to your unique skin type and acne condition. Each session includes a deep cleanse, exfoliation, extractions, and soothing treatments to reduce inflammation and support clear, healthy skin.

Intro session where our Face Reality acne expert will cover everything from understanding what acne is, identifying your teen’s unique skin and acne type, to exploring lifestyle factors that may be contributing to breakouts, and creating your personalized Face Reality Skincare routine.

With all the changes your teen will be going through, a good skincare routine helps manage breakouts and build lifelong healthy habits. We are excited to help be a part of giving your teen the strong foundation they need for a lifetime of educated, healthy, skin care.

Cleanser, moisturizer, and sunscreen are the essentials. Optional additions include spot treatments and gentle exfoliants. Book a consultation with us and we’ll walk through your teen’s specific needs and will provide a skin care plan and product recommendations.

Twice a day—morning and night. After sweating (rehearsals, sports, etc.), washing is also recommended.

For Acne: Salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide

For Sensitive Skin: Fragrance-free and non-comedogenic products

Yes, especially if it’s not removed properly. Teens should use non-comedogenic makeup and cleanse thoroughly before bed.

Yes. Sunscreen protects against sun damage, premature aging, and helps prevent acne scarring.

Hormones, excess oil production, clogged pores, bacteria, and sometimes diet or stress.

No. It can cause scarring and spread bacteria, making acne worse.

If over-the-counter products don’t help, or if acne is severe, painful, or affecting self-esteem you can make an appointment to see a dermatologist.

Some can be helpful, but many can irritate skin or cause reactions. Always patch test and avoid harsh ingredients like lemon juice or baking soda.
If you or your teen is looking to social media or Tiktok for advice, there are some trends we definitely would avoid. Reach out to us to book a consult and we can talk through any questions you may have.

For teens looking for healthier skin for an upcoming event like senior photos, proms, etc., we recommend getting a skin treatment at least 1-2 weeks before the event to get a fresh glowing look.
Depending on the skin issues that need addressing, the earlier before an event the better to come in for treatment.
If clearing acne and breakouts is the goal, then they should start their journey approximately 6 months prior.
