Another fun shoot with Austin from A.O’Brien Photography a few months back. We went down to Laguna Beach to get a little crazy with sand and seaweed. I did a fun makeup job on our gorgeous model, Amanda, I think it was my favorite eye makeup I ever did on anyone in fact. It looked gorgeous on her and really made her eyes stand out.
First I drew the design on with pencil then slowly painted on Spirit Gum and pouring on sand, out of a cup. Yep. Out of a cup. I had to go slowly with the designs because the spirit gum dries fast. After I was done with the sand, I had to go back over it and smooth out any uneven edges. Originally I wanted to put sand designs over her whole body, but we ran out of time.
